About Ardwood
Ardwood Civic Association is a voluntary neighborhood association for parts of Ardmore and Wynnewood in Lower Merion Township.
Vision
Ardwood Civic Association seeks to be the center of civic activity for the community and a force for positive change for our neighborhoods.
Mission
Ardwood’s mission is to promote our collective interests by advocating for residents, promoting civic dialogue, sponsoring community events and volunteer activities, and presenting clear, reliable information.
In pursuit of its vision and mission, Ardwood values diversity, equity, non-partisanship, and a sense of belonging for all residents.
Core Values
These core values are what we care about, who we are and how we operate:
Civic Engagement: We actively seek broad representation and participation throughout our community. Our legitimacy is built on representing our community with integrity.
Professional Standards: We maintain respectful, thoughtful interactions with all stakeholders. We gather data before forming conclusions and commit to high-quality standards in everything we do.
Mission First: We begin every initiative, discussion, and decision by focusing on our core mission. We prioritize actions and goals that best serve the Ardmore community.
Constructive Partnership: We engage with township stakeholders in solution-oriented ways that enhance municipal processes. We foster collaborative relationships wherein our input is valued and sought after.
Future-Oriented: We take a fresh, reimagined approach to civic engagement. While respecting our heritage, we focus on creating new possibilities for Ardmore's tomorrow.
Fun: We value each individual's experience within our organization. Our activities are meaningful, satisfying, and fun for our members, board, officers, and everyone who interacts with us.
